As an audit manager, Rafael specializes in planning and performing audits and reviews of financial statements for his clients. He has broad experience in various industries, including construction, retail, distribution, manufacturing, government, and food and beverage. Rafael joined E.F. Alvarez & Company in September 2014. Prior to joining the firm, Rafael worked for international Big Four accounting firms as a staff auditor, senior auditor and audit manager. Rafael studied accounting and human resources at the University of Puerto Rico, graduating magna cum laude. Rafael is a member of the Puerto Rico Society of Certified Public Accountants, the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA), the Florida Institute of Certified Public Accountants (FICPA) and the Construction Financial Management Association (CFMA).
